Investment criteria

Important considerations for ABN AMRO Participaties to invest are:

• Head office and management are based in the Netherlands
• An equity investment by ABN AMRO Participaties that ranges between € 5 million and approximately € 30 million (for larger amounts we can team up with other investors)
• A certain amount of control over important corporate decisions such as exit, management and strategy
• Majority or (controlling) minority shareholding
• We invest in basically all sectors; exceptions are financial services and the real estate sector
• Management has a clear plan for growth (autonomously or by means of acquisitions) and is prepared to co-invest
• The company generates a sustainable positive cash flow and is well positioned in its (niche) market
• Occasionally, we invest in turn-arounds (in co-operation with specialized partners)
